When it was created in 1906, the ‘Rouge et Noir’ fountain pen was considered an extraordinary technical feat, which guaranteed simple use, without having to continually dip the nib into the inkwell. The Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir celebrates the 110th anniversary of Montblanc’s pioneering spirit. Re of the legendary writing instrument, it is characterized by a longer and thinner silhouette and craftsmanship honed from generation to generation. Vintage brown resin cap and lacquered resin body with historic engraving. Tropic is the name of a color used in watches to indicate a patina obtained by natural aging in the tropics (sun and humidity). Montblanc pens also experience this special color thanks to the natural aging of ebonite, an organic material. Medium size nib, 14K gold. finely engraved and handcrafted
